THE PREDICTION
A poor end to the 2021 season saw Fortaleza slowly slip down the table and they have started 2022 in similar fashion. The home team come into this on the back of a respectable 1-1 draw at home to River Plate in the group stages of the Copa Libertadores during the midweek. In the league, though, they have scored just one goal and lost all three of their Serie A matches. They now come up against a Sao Paulo side that have lost just one of their last four matches. The visitors shared a goalless draw away to Everton in the group stages of the Sudamericana in midweek and they will come into this one as the firm favourites.
