THE PREDICTION
The home team come into this on the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Sao Paulo last weekend, before they faced Always Ready in the group stages of the Copa Libertadores in midweek. Corinthians begin this weekend’s Serie A round of fixtures sitting at the top-of-the-table, having lost just one of their opening seven matches. They now come up against an America Mineiro side that come into this on the back of sitting firmly in the middle-of-the-table after a fairly average start to the campaign. Corinthians will be expected to win this one, especially at home.
