Botafogo’s relegation was confirmed after their winless streak was extended with defeat to Sport Recife in their latest outing. They are now without a win in their last eight Serie A matches with seven of those ending in defeat and that wretched run has cost them. Gremio are on a poor run themselves but they will hope to return to winning ways as they look to capitalise on the hosts’ woes.
