THE PREDICTION
KV Oostende got off to as about as bad a start as they could have feared with a 0-3 trouncing at home to Sporting Charleroi. It does not get any easier as they travel now to Genk with hopes of undoing some damage to their goal difference already as they languish at the foot of the table. The hosts almost lost their opening Belgian Pro League fixture too but a last-minute equaliser left it 1-1 at Standard Liege. Theo Bongonda opened his account in the 90th minute having scored 16 of Genk’s huge goal tally last season and if they can build on last week’s performance they could get an early front foot on rivals Club Brugge. KV Oostende should avoid as heavy a defeat as last time out but their shell-shock should be Genk’s gain. Take the hosts to win here with over 2.5 goals scored in total.
