THE PREDICTION

Club Brugge welcome city rivals Cercle Brugge to the Jan Breydelstadion in an unusual position as the two are essentially in joint fourth place of the Belgian Pro League after two matches. Club Brugge bounced back from a disappointing 2-2 opening game against AS Eupen by knocking back plucky upstarts Union Saint-Gilloise 0-1 on Sunday. They have a really welcome run of fixtures coming up that should bring them back to their usual place at the top of the table but Cercle Brugge will be eager to snatch something here with the defending champions not quite up to speed just yet. Cercle Brugge have not beaten their bigger brothers since 2013 but the last three meetings have seen both teams score in a Club Brugge win so that looks a good option here.
