STANDARD LIEGE VS KV OOSTENDE PREDICTION
This looks set to be a rather sorry dead rubber between KV Oostende and Standard Liege with just one win apiece in the Belgian Pro League play-off round. KV Oostende’s only win came in a thumping 6-2 victory over Standard Liege at the start of May that looked set to send them on their way to Europa League qualification but this match looks unlikely to reach those heights, or lows, for either side here. It would be a useful time to field some squad players on Saturday evening whilst Mechelen and Gent play for the only available European place so this match should be given a wide berth from any accumulators. However, Oostende’s 2-2 draw at home to Mechelen on Thursday is at least better form than Standard Liege’s three-match losing streak so take the away side here at double chance to avoid defeat.
