MECHELEN VS ANTWERP PREDICTION
Antwerp headed into the winter break on a high after winning their previous two Jupiler Pro League games following a run of four straight defeats in all competitions. The break was much needed, with Franky Vercauteren’s side battling on more than just the domestic front this season, having qualified for the UEFA Europa League knockout stage. This may have had an adverse effect on their league form especially towards the latter part of the Group Stage back in December, but won’t prove a factor in this match. Mechelen will prove a tough nut to crack having also won their last two league matches, but a refreshed and highly confident Antwerp side are superior in terms of quality within their first XI and should edge a close contest here.
