Despite a terrible run of form, Central Coast Mariners remain second on the A-League ladder but they are rapidly losing ground on leaders Melbourne City having failed to win any of their last six. They played out a second successive draw as they were held by Brisbane Roar earlier in the week but they get a chance to finally end their wait for a win as they head to Newcastle to face the Jets.
