Melbourne City’s poor start to the season continued as they lost for the third game in succession. They went down to Newcastle Jets last time out and that was also their fourth defeat in five matches so the last thing they need is to come up against reigning champions Sydney. The away side are unbeaten in their last three, although they were frustrated in their efforts to make it three straights wins as they were held to a goalless draw with Brisbane Roar at the weekend.
