After putting seven goals past local rivals Melbourne Victory in their previous contest, Melbourne City were frustratingly held by Macarthur in their last outing. They have now won only two of their last five and they will be eager to put another winning run together having managed to win their last six before their recent mishaps. They will be confident of doing so as they host bottom side Newcastle Jets who are now without a win in their last ten and with eight of those ending in defeat, top of the ladder City should be able to win this by at least two clear goals.
