THE PREDICTION
After a run of four successive league victories, Independiente suffered their second Copa de la Liga Profesional defeat of the season last Saturday, as they were edged out 1-0 by Group B table toppers Velez Sarsfield. Their opponents Boca Juniors also suffered a significant setback last time out as they fell to a 1-2 home reverse against Talleres de Cordoba, their first loss of the season in the league. With both sides no doubt desperate to get back to winning ways immediately, an exciting contest could be on the cards in Avellaneda. Goals look very much on the menu when considering that Independiente and Boca Juniors make up two of the three highest scoring sides in Group B, with ten goals and 13 goals scored respectively. A difficult assignment therefore awaits for the two defences and both teams to score has to be favoured, regardless of who comes out on top.
