Velez Sarsfield have made a perfect start to the Fase Complementación in the Copa Diego Armando Maradona with a win over Central Cordoba SdE last time out making it two straight wins in the second phase of the competition. They have also now won three games in succession after advancing in the Copa Sudamericana and that run of form will worry their opponents in this contest. Estudiantes once again failed to earn their first win of the competition as they played out a draw with Racing Club in their most recent encounter, although they did at least find the back of the net for the first time in that game.
