THE PREDICTION
Interim coach Alex Covelo led the San Jose Earthquakes to a 5-0 hammering of Bay Cities in the third round of the US Open Cup in midweek. The home team have endured an entertaining but underwhelming campaign in MLS this season. They are winless in their seven games with 28 goals coming in those matches. They now come up against a Seattle Sounders that were one of the pre-season favourites for the Supporters’ Shield. The visitors have been inconsistent in 2022, though. Both teams scoring looks a good bet for this one.
