The home team come into this on the back of back-to-back draws against Dallas and Nashville that has extended their winless run to three matches now. Prior to that, Real Salt Lake had won their opening two matches of the season so they remain in a half-decent position at this early stage. They come up against a Minnesota United that they defeated in late April and a Minnesota side that have seemingly recovered from a terrible start to their campaign by winning back-to-back matches against Vancouver and Dallas by a goal to nil. Despite those two results, they still will not be favourites to go to RSL and win but they should keep it low-scoring given the indifferent form of the home team.
