Portland Timbers come into this on the back of a 2-0 win at San Jose Earthquakes that ended a run of three straight defeats in all competitions. They have been distracted, both mentally and physically, by having to play in the CONCACAF Champions League and, after their first midweek off, picked up a comfortable victory against a strong side away from home. They come up against a Los Angeles Galaxy side that have begun the campaign well and continued that with a 2-0 win over Austin last weekend. Both sides have only picked up eight yellow cards so far this season so low booking points looks a solid bet for this one.
