THE PREDICTION
The home team come into this on the back of back-to-back defeats to kick off their new season. A 4-0 hammering at the hands of Seattle was backed up by a 2-1 home loss to Real Salt Lake in which Minnesota managed just two shots on target. They come up against the youngest MLS franchise in Austin who have begun the campaign with a win, a draw and two encouraging performances. Their 3-1 win at Colorado Rapids last weekend was an excellent second-half display. Given they are new and will likely lack any consistency, it would be bold to predict back-to-back wins but they certainly shouldn’t lose to a weak Minnesota; therefore, a draw looks likely.
