Seattle Sounders’ scheduled midweek fixture with Colorado Rapids was postponed but they remain top of the Western Conference after Portland Timbers lost to Real Salt Lake. The Sounders’ last outing was a 3-1 defeat to Los Angeles – a result they have had a week to mull over – and they now run into a team who have completely transformed their own fortunes after a terrible start to the season.
