THE PREDICTION
Seattle Sounders – so often the leading light in the Western Conference this season – have stuttered of late and the fact they have won just once in their last six games is a concern to head coach Brian Schmetzer heading into the playoffs. They have a chance to build a bit of confidence in this final regular season game but they are in for a tough game against this transformed SJ Earthquakes side. The fact that the Earthquakes have already sealed their spot in the playoffs is a testament to the hard work Matias Almeyda has done in turning their fortunes around after a dramatic slump in form in August and September and they are now shaping up as serious contenders in the post season. They could easily get on the scoresheet here but the Sounders, despite their recent downturn in form, have scored in all nine of their home games this season so Both Teams to Score is the suggested betting market in this one.
