THE PREDICTION

Spain’s goalless draw with Italy was memorable for its three red cards. One for Spain, Oscar Mingueza, means they will be without the Barcelona centre-half as they head into the final group match with qualification still in the balance. With Italy playing a weak Slovenia, a Czech Republic win could see the Spanish eliminated. The Czech’s, however, are on the back of a hugely disappointing 1-1 draw with hosts Slovenia in their second match. The solidity of their defence remains but the issue of scoring goals is also very big. Spain should be confident of victory.
