THE PREDICTION
Lukas Nmecha came into the tournament with a really impressive U21 record and has begun the campaign with a goal in both game. The second game, a 1-1 draw with the Netherlands, means a point should be enough for qualification but they are in a position where a defeat against Romania and a Dutch victory over Hungary would eliminate the Germans. They come up against a Romania side who are in the exact same position following their draw with the Netherlands and then victory over Hungary. A draw doesn’t necessarily suit Romania as Holland could overtake them on goal difference so they may have to ‘go for it’. Both teams to score would therefore be a reasonable bet.
