THE PREDICTION
Defensa y Justicia and Palmeiras do battle for the Recopa Sudamericana with the pair set to do battle in this first leg in Argentina. It is just one win in four in all competitions for the hosts but their home form is consistent having avoided defeat in their last ten. That will leave the Copa Sudamericana winners in a positive frame of mind ahead of the trip of the Brazilians but Palmeiras are unbeaten in their last six. They struggled domestically after clinching the Copa Libertadores title earlier in the year but their recent form is much better. There is little to separate the two here, especially with Defensa y Justicia on home soil and they can use that to their advantage to claim at least a draw from this opening leg with a stalemate the most likely outcome.
