1992 was the last time Luzern lifted the Swiss Cup for the second time in their history. Fast forward 29 years and they have a chance to win it for the third time in 2021 having beaten FC Aarau over two legs to make it to the final. However, for St. Gallen the wait has been longer having last won the Swiss Cup all the way back in 1969. This is a historic occasion for both sides and form goes out of the window in such an important fixture with a major trophy at stake. A cagey encounter is expected and nerves will no doubt be a factor for each side.
