Second tier Aarau enter this Swiss Cup semi-final clash with Luzern very much the underdogs against their Swiss Super League opponents, however the hosts won’t be fazed having already knockout out top tier opposition in the Round of 16, beating FC Sion 4-2. Luzern though, will prove a much tougher challenge and come into this one having won their last three league games. Whilst Aarau won’t make it easy for the visitors, the quality and firepower of Luzern in particular should overwhelm the home side with Luzern having scored 11 goals in their last six matches in all competitions. With this being a semi-final, complacency certainly won’t be a factor for Luzern and they must be favoured to book their place in the Swiss Cup final over the course of 90 minutes.
