Roberto Bautista Agut rolled back the years as he maintained he perfect record against Frances Tiafoe to send the second seed packing. 

The Spaniard cruised to a 6-2 6-3 triumph over the American to set up a last eight meeting with Flavio Cobolli. 

The Italian also secured an upset as he derailed fifth seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-4 7-5. 

This will be a maiden showdown between the pair with both players enjoying similarly solid if not exactly eye-catching runs of late. 

Bautista Agut doesn’t give much away for free so it’ll be down to the Italian to try and conjure up some craft on the clay, although both players are well attuned to the surface.
