Flavio Cobolli vs Frances Tiafoe prediction

Frances Tiafoe overcame a mid-match hiccup to set up a round of 16 clash with last year’s finalist Flavio Cobolli.

The sixth seed won an all-American tussle with Aleksandar Kovacevic 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 while the Italian eased to a 6-2 7-6 victory over Yoshihito Nishioka. 

This will be their second meeting with Big Foe winning their maiden encounter 6-4 6-2 on the hardcourts of Delray Beach last year. 

Tiafoe won 87% of his first serve points against Kovacevic and he will need to replicate that and raise the level of his all-round game to defeat Cobolli, who has a similar liking for producing the extravagant.

The American will want to put on an improved show on home turf but last year’s runner-up will punish him if he doesn’t find another gear.
