Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Novak Djokovic prediction

Felix Auger-Aliassime equalled his best ever result at Wimbledon as he reached the quarter-finals for the second time after a five set win over Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Auger-Aliassime had not even been broken on serve heading into this match but Davidovich Fokina, who was on a seven-match winning run, challenged the Canadian and forced a deciding set. However, the third seed dominated the fifth to win 6-7 (4) 7-6 (6) 6-3 6-7 (2) 6-1.

He will now face seven-time champion Novak Djokovic for a place in the last four. Djokovic continued his quest for a 25th Grand Slam title with a battling four set win over Roman Safiullin on Centre Court. Safiullin served for the first set and had two set points, but Djokovic broke back and took the lead after winning the tiebreak. Safiullin fought back in the third, but the Serb went on to win 7-6 (6) 6-3 3-6 6-3. With his 106th singles win at the All England Club, Djokovic surpassed Roger Federer’s all-time record for the most by a male player.

The head-to-head is 1-1, but they have not played against each other since 2022. This will be Djokovic’s toughest test of the tournament so far, but he’s still the favourite to advance.
