Felix Auger-Aliassime reached the third-round of Wimbledon for the first time since 2021 after a straight sets win over Dino Prizmic. The Canadian was not broken on serve as he won 7-6 (2) 6-4 7-5 after two hours and 41 minutes. The third seed will now face Michael Zheng for a place in the round-of-16.
Zheng got past Nicolas Mejia in four sets. The American, who qualified for the event, went a set down and crucially saved a set point in the second set tiebreak before levelling the match. He largely dominated after that to win 6-7 (4) 7-6 (8) 6-1 6-4.
Auger-Aliassme has faced just two break points across his first two matches so far. If he continues to serve well, Zheng will be limited in terms of creating opportunities. The 22-year-old has momentum on his side after five straight wins including qualifying, but he is likely to find it extremely tough in round three.
