Francisco Comesana made the main draw in Paris as his qualifying opponent David Goffin withdrew. The Argentine has shown an improvement on hard courts, having got through to the round-of-16 in Cincinnati over two months ago, but he is primarily a clay courter, with his best results coming on that surface. He has failed to make an ATP final in 2025, with his best result being a semi-final in Rio.
As long as Auger-Aliassime is fit and ready to go, this is likely to be a comfortable encounter for the Canadian.
