Felix Auger-Aliassime got his Wimbledon campaign up and running with a straight sets win over Alexander Shevchenko. The Canadian did not even concede a break point as he won 6-3 6-1 6-4. Auger-Aliassime produced a strong serving performance, with a first serve percentage of 79%, as he clinched the win after just an hour and 34 minutes.
He will now play Dino Prizmic. The Croatian picked up his first win at Wimbledon after coming from a set and a break down to beat Adam Walton on the opening day. Walton served for a two sets to love lead at 5-4 in the second, but Prizmic broke back and levelled the contest in the tiebreak. That proved to be a crucial moment as the 20-year-old largely dominated the next two sets to win 4-6 7-6 (3) 6-4 6-2.
If Auger-Aliassime continues to serve well, Prizmic will be limited in terms of his opportunities.
