Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Daniil Medvedev prediction

Daniel Medvedev made short work of Jenson Brooksby as he swept into the last four in Dubai.

The Russian needed less than an hour to thrash the American 6-2 6-1 and will now take on Felix Auger-Aliassime for a tenth time.

The Canadian top seed also remains flawless after sinking Jiri Lehecka by a 6-3 7-6 scoreline.

Medvedev leads the head-to-head 7-2 but all of his victories came before the 2024 Paris Olympics, with Felix triumphing on clay and then again when Daniil retired at 3-6 in their most recent clash in Doha last year.

The Russian has so often been the human backboard on tour and it is perhaps why FAA has had a tricky past against him, firing over-zealous shots with greater risk to try and hit through his defences.

Both players have looked super solid this week, so it makes this a tough call. There’s a feeling the match-up favours Medvedev, particularly as he is looking like his old self right now. Don't be surprised to see it go three and there's more value there than in the outright winner, with the Bookies offering very little either way.
