Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Alexander Shevchenko prediction

Felix Auger-Aliassime is the third seed at Wimbledon this year. His best result was a quarter-final appearance in 2021, but his more recent record at the All England Club is far less encouraging. Auger-Aliassime has suffered first-round exits in three of the last four editions of the event and could only progress to the second-round last year before a defeat to Jan-Lennard Stuff. He did compete at the Halle Open, winning matches against Nuno Borges and Learner Tien before a quarter-final loss to Frances Tiafoe, despite having four match points.

He will play Alexander Shevchenko in his opening match. The Kazakhstani attempted to qualify for the Mallorca Championships but failed to do so. He has won just the one match on grass in his career and is only just ranked inside the top 100 in the world.

This represents a good opportunity for Auger-Aliassime to make a strong start as he targets his first deep Wimbledon run in five years.

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Alexander Shevchenko tip: Felix Auger-Aliassime to win 3-0
