Felix Auger-Aliassime vs Alejandro Tabilo prediction

Felix Auger-Aliassime will compete in his first tournament for nearly a month at the Shanghai Masters. The Canadian enjoyed one of his best events for quite some time at the US Open, as he defeated Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev and Alex de Minaur to make the semi-finals of a Grand Slam for the second time in his career. He pushed Jannik Sinner in their last four match, eventually going down in four sets. Auger-Aliassime has since got married, but he will hope he can quickly recapture his form from a month ago as he attempts to qualify for the World Tour Finals at the end of the year.

He has a tough opening match against Alejandro Tabilo. The Chilean continued his excellent form with a straight sets win over Marcos Giron in round one. He wasn’t broken on serve as he won 6-4 6-3 after an hour and 17 minutes. Tabilo won the Chengdu Open less than a fortnight ago and has won 14 of his last 16 matches, stretching back to the first-round of the Guangzhou Challenger and including qualifying rounds.

Auger-Aliassime may be slightly short of match fitness and the in-form Tabilo has the quality to take this match into a deciding set.
