Southampton's James Ward-Prowse (£6.0m) is currently in excellent form having picked up three goals and one assist in his last three gameweeks, although he didn't register any of those in Gameweek 8 as the Saints defeated Newcastle 2-0. West Ham's Jarrod Bowen (£6.3m) has not been in such good individual form from an FPL perspective, with the midfielder not registering an attacking return since back in Gameweek 4.
Ward-Prowse will look to continue his good run away to Wolves at Gameweek 9, whilst West Ham are away at Sheffield Utd, which presents an opportunity for Bowen to get back on the goal trail against the struggling Blades. From an FPL perspective though, the decision here is easy. Taking corners and free kicks, with 31 FPL points accrued over the last three gameweeks and £0.3m cheaper than Bowen, we have to give the edge to Ward-Prowse in this head-to-head.
Verdict: James Ward-Prowse
