FPL Gameweek 8 – head-to-head comparisons: Bruno Fernandes vs Marcus Rashford

Gameweek 7 was one of frustration for anyone who owned Man Utd FPL assets, not least midfielders Bruno Fernandes (£10.5m) and Marcus Rashford (£9.6m). United put in a limp performance at Old Trafford, falling to a 0-1 defeat against old rivals Arsenal, with both Fernandes and Rashford picking up two FPL points each. One to forget for owners, who will hoping for a response in Gameweek 8.

Next weekend sees Man Utd travel to high flying Everton, a fixture which Bruno Fernandes will have fond memories of, with the Portugese star having scored at Goodison Park last season. Rashford is also in good form having recently scored a hat-trick against RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League. However, set pieces have proven themselves as key in terms of FPL points potential this season and Fernandes is in control of both penalties and dangerous free kicks. The clincher for us is that Fernandes has accrued 23 FPL points from his two away fixtures this season, so he is our choice for Gameweek 8.
