FPL Gameweek 3 – head-to-head comparisons: Charlie Taylor vs Joel Ward
Despite being on the end of a 4-2 defeat away to Leicester, Burnley's Charlie Taylor (£4.5m) gave his FPL owners something to cheer about as he registered an assist for the Clarets second goal, earning him three FPL points. Right-back Joel Ward (£4.5m) was part of a fabulous result for Crystal Palace as they won 1-3 against Man Utd at Old Trafford. Although his FPL owners won't forgive him for getting booked and only acquiring 1 FPL point from the fixture.
Gameweek 3 sees Burnley face a Southampton side at Turf Moor who have made a poor start to the season. Crystal Palace meanwhile, are at home to Everton who have won their opening two league games. Despite the threat of former Clarets forward Danny Ings, Southampton's slow start combined with the usual defensive steel of Burnley at home leads us to go with Taylor here.
