FPL Gameweek 28 – head-to-head comparisons: Ruben Dias vs John Stones

Two Man City central defenders come under the radar as Ruben Dias (£6.1m) and John Stones (£5.3m) will each be hoping to play a part in securing a 15th Premier League clean sheet for Pep Guardiola's side. However, with City having not kept a clean sheet in their last four league games, this won't prove as easy a feat as it might be been in previous months.

Both Dias and Stones not just provide clean sheet potential, both are also an attacking threat with both having found the net as recently as Gameweek 26. Stones is priced significantly cheaper, which provides managers with a tempting option. However, the England international is also a bigger rotation risk compared to Dias, who has missed just one Premier League game all season. Whilst Stones is the better value pick, we're playing it safe and plumping with Dias in this one considering Pep Guardiola's tendency to leave Stones out in favour of fellow defender Aymeric Laporte in recent weeks.
