FPL Gameweek 28 – head-to-head comparisons: Raphinha vs Mason Mount
After a successful run of form that had seen him rack up 50 FPL points between Gameweek 20 and Gameweek 26, Leeds midfielder Raphinha (£5.5m) has slightly cooled off having failed to register an attacking return in the past two gameweeks, with Leeds falling to two successive defeats. Mason Mount (£7.0m) began Gameweek 27 from the bench for Chelsea, but in the three gameweeks previous to that Mount was in the starting line-up, scoring twice and gaining 24 FPL points.
Mount is expected to return to Thomas Tuchel's starting line-up in Gameweek 28, as Chelsea travel to Elland Road where Raphinha's Leeds await. The Blues have proven themselves as incredibly strong in defence under Tuchel, conceding just once in their last five Premier League games. Compare that to Leeds, who have shipped eight goals within the same time period and we'd expect Mount to provide more chance of an attacking return in this fixture. Whilst he is priced at £1.5m more expensive than the Leeds winger, Mount's potential points ceiling makes him worth the extra investment in our eyes and he is the more favoured option in this head-to-head.
