Both these Spurs midfielders recorded attacking returns in Gameweek 27 as Spurs defeated Crystal Palace 4-1, although one performed far better than the other. Whilst Heung-Min Son (£9.6m) acquired just a single assist and five FPL points, Gareth Bale (£9.4m) continued his scintillating recent form with two goals and 14 FPL points. Bale has now accrued 35 FPL points over the course of the last two gameweeks.

Spurs make the very short trip to the Emirates Stadium in Gameweek 28, as they face Arsenal in the North London Derby. Both Son and Bale are expected to start and play key roles for Jose Mourinho's men in this match. From an FPL perspective, the two players starting is significant, with Son having failed to record an attacking return in any Premier League game this season in which Bale has started. The Welsh international star is also priced at £0.2m cheaper alongside a vastly lower ownership percentage. Therefore, whilst Son is the most popular asset among FPL managers at present, Bale clearly offers the better value when the two are on the same pitch.

Verdict: Gareth Bale
