FPL Gameweek 26 – head-to-head comparisons: Andrew Robertson vs Virgil van Dijk
Another week went by, another Liverpool clean sheet was banked! The Reds' 4-0 disposal of Southampton in Gameweek 25 was their ninth clean sheet in ten Premier League matches. Both left-back Andrew Robertson (£7.0m) and centre-back Virgil van Dijk (£6.5m) have hoovered up a combined total of 124 FPL points over the course of the last nine gameweeks, a mammoth total indeed.
The points scoring looks set to continue for both as a trip to rock-bottom Norwich greets the Reds in Gameweek 26. Assuming both players will safely bank a clean sheet, each individual's attacking potential determines whom we will plump for in this head-to-head. Both Robertson and Van Dijk have registered just one attacking return over the last nine gameweeks but despite Robertson's marauding runs down the left hand side, it is Van Dijk's consistent menacing threat at set-pieces that gives him the edge here.
Verdict: Virgil van Dijk
