FPL Gameweek 24 – head-to-head comparisons – Robert Snodgrass vs Mark Noble

Following a glut of injuries to West Ham's attacking midfielders, the onus has fallen on set-piece specialist Robert Snodgrass (£5.2m) to spearhead the creative engine of the Hammers going forward. The Scot did just that in Gameweek 23, with one of his patented free kicks leading to a goal. With the match finishing 1-1 between West Ham and Everton, Snodgrass came out with 5 FPL points and he has 11 FPL points from his last two starts.

Captain and penalty specialist Mark Noble (£5.0m) failed to register an attacking return over the weekend but he has shown signs of more intent up the field under new Hammers manager David Moyes in recent weeks after his brace in Gameweek 21 at home to Bournemouth.

West Ham having a double gameweek next up has gone under the radar due to them sharing it with table-toppers Liverpool. This makes the likes of Snodgrass and Noble a viable asset. They face Leicester away before Liverpool visit the London Stadium. With Leicester having looked shaky defending set-pieces against Burnley and being duly punished with a 2-1 defeat, this fixture could turn out to be ideal for Snodgrass. Scoring against Liverpool may be a bridge too far, but if Snodgrass gets awarded a free kick in a dangerous position, then you never know what could occur.

Verdict: Robert Snodgrass
