FPL Gameweek 20 – head-to-head comparisons: Joao Cancelo vs Ruben Dias
Owners of Man City defenders reaped huge rewards in Double Gameweek 19 following their two clean sheets vs Crystal Palace and Aston Villa respectively, particularly if you were an owner of Ruben Dias (£5.9m), who added an assist to those two clean sheets and accrued a total of 18 FPL points. Whilst Joao Cancelo (£5.8m) only featured from the bench against Palace, a start and bonus point vs Aston Villa saw him finish with eight points.
City travel to lowly West Brom on Gameweek 20 and FPL managers will be confident of another shutout here. Pep Guardiola's side have now kept clean sheets in eight of their last ten Premier League matches, which sees both these two defenders standout as attractive options. Both are priced equally, however after being rested against Crystal Palace along with his higher attacking potential from open play, Cancelo narrowly gets the nod for us here although we advocate a double up of Man City defenders to capitalise on their good form at the back.
