FPL Gameweek 2 – head-to-head comparisons: Jamie Vardy vs Raul Jimenez
Both these forwards opened their accounts for the 2020-21 Premier League season in Gameweek 1. Leicester's Jamie Vardy (£10.0m) scored twice, albeit both from the penalty spot in the Foxes' 0-3 win over West Brom. Raul Jimenez (£8.5m) scored within the first few minutes for Wolves as they saw off Sheffield Utd 0-2.
Gameweek 2 sees home fixtures for both players. Vardy's Leicester take on Burnley, whilst Wolves' Jimenez host Man City. Vardy has fond memories of this fixture, having scored against the Clarets at the King Power Stadium last season. Jimenez however, also scored in the same retrospective fixture vs Man City last December. We're taking value into account here and Jimenez's £1.5m cheaper price tag leads us to favour the Mexican here.
