FPL Gameweek 17 head-to-head comparisons – Kieran Tierney vs Andy Robertson
Both these left-backs secured clean sheets in Gameweek 16, with Arsenal beating Brighton 0-1 and Liverpool drawing 0-0 with Newcastle. However, Andy Robertson (£7.3m) accumulated three bonus points which gave him a total of nine FPL points compared to six points for Kieran Tierney (£5.3m). The Arsenal defender has now gained ten points from the last two gameweeks after his assist against Chelsea in Gameweek 15.
Liverpool travel to Southampton in Gameweek 17, whilst Arsenal are away at relegation threatened West Brom who are coming off the back of a 0-5 thrashing at the hands of Leeds. Tierney appeals to anyone looking for a bargain full-back with the Gunners having significantly improved in their last couple of matches under Mikel Arteta. However, for those with enough cash to spend, Robertson has to be considered the superior option right now with five assists and a goal already this season to go with his five clean sheets. It's a premium price for a premium product and against a Southampton side who have failed to score in their last two games, the signs look good for another Robertson haul here.
Verdict: Andy Robertson
