The two prodigies on opposing sides of the Manchester derby will be hoping to kick-start their premier league campaigns with both failing to secure a regular starting berth at their respective clubs. Both with an abundance of talent but a soft spot for Icelandic models look nailed on as the future poster-boys for their clubs. However, neither have progressed as much as was widely anticipated ahead of this season.

Mason Greenwood (£7.2m) has had notable personal issues in addition to the international scandal hbut completely fabricated rumours regarding a lack of interest have been put to bed with recent performances. An incredible winner against West Ham capped off a revitalised performance and despite failing to net midweek against Leipzig, Greenwood looked confident and eager to impress.

Prior to this campaign, Phil Foden (£6.5m) was touted as the answer to David Silva's exodus. While being arguably one of City's most consistent performers in a rocky season to date, Foden has found himself out of favour recently in the Premier League. This was particularly frustrating for long-term owners who were expecting to be rewarded with a hefty return in at least one of City's fixtures against Burnley and Fulham.

While Manchester City are favourites in this fixture, Greenwood is more likely to start given Cavani and Martial will face late fitness checks. Expect Greenwood to get a few chances against City's attacking left flank with will be occupied by either Cancelo or Mendy. When he gets chances, he very rarely misses the target and expect Greenwood's resurgence in form to result in FPL points in the coming weeks.

Verdict: Mason Greenwood
