FPL Double Gameweek 26 – head-to-head comparisons: Matthew Lowton vs Ezri Konsa
Two defenders come under the microscope here as we compare Burnley's Matthew Lowton (£4.5m) with Aston Villa's Ezri Konsa (£4.6m) ahead of Double Gameweek 26. Lowton had the better of Gameweek 25, picking up six FPL points after Burnley's 0-0 draw with West Brom, whilst Konsa could only manage a single FPL point as Aston Villa fell to a 1-2 defeat at home to high-flying Leicester.
Double Gameweek 26 sees both players benefit from two fixtures, with Burnley facing Tottenham (a) and Leicester (H), whilst Aston Villa take on Leeds (a) and Sheffield Utd (a). Neither are an easy set of fixtures, but with Sheffield Utd bottom of the table, Aston Villa will surely be confident of at least one clean sheet from their two matches. Konsa also provides attacking potential due to his threat from set pieces and whilst this is a close call, we'd just give the edge to Konsa.
