FPL Double Gameweek 26 – head-to-head comparisons: Ilkay Gundogan vs Kevin De Bruyne
Two influential Man City midfielders come under the spotlight here with Ilkay Gundogan (£6.1m) in the attacking form of his career, whilst Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) looks to have returned to full fitness after starting in Gameweek 25 vs Arsenal. Gundogan was also afforded a start in City's Champions League last 16 first leg tie in midweek, whilst De Bruyne remained on the bench through the whole match.
Double Gameweek 26 sees Pep Guardiola's side face off against West Ham and Wolves, both at the Etihad Stadium. As always it won't prove easier prediction Guardiola's starting lineup for both games, but De Bruyne not playing in midweek suggests that he will start at least the first fixture. Gundogan is possibly due a rest after starting the last two matches, but as said above, predicting that for certain is difficult. With it impossible to accurately judge the minutes of both Gundogan and De Bruyne, the former is favoured by us due to his vastly cheaper price-tag. However, if you are trailing behind others in your respective mini-leagues, then De Bruyne could prove the ideal differential for you!
