FPL Blank Gameweek 29 – head-to-head comparisons: Lewis Dunk vs Jamal Lascelles
Two goalscoring central defenders come under microscope here as we look at Brighton's Lewis Dunk (£5.0m) and Newcastle's Jamal Lascelles (£4.2m). Both found the back of the net in Gameweek 28, Dunk scoring in his side's 1-2 win away at Southampton whilst Lascelles netted a last gasp equaliser for the Magpies vs Aston Villa. This led to Dunk accruing ten FPL points in the gameweek, with eight for Lascelles.
The two centre-backs collide in Blank Gameweek 29 with Brighton hosting Newcastle. A low scoring affair is expected so both are likely to provide value here. Whilst Dunk boasts home advantage, Newcastle managed a clean sheet in their last away Premier League game whilst Brighton have failed to keep a clean in their last four league games. Priced at £0.8m cheaper than Dunk, Lascelles may not prove as popular as Dunk but for us he represents the better value.
