Facundo Diaz Acosta earned his first main draw victory at Roland Garros as he beat Zhizhen Zhang in straight sets. He conceded just the one break point and broke his opponent’s serve right at the start of the match as he won 6-1 6-4 6-3 after one hour and 42 minutes.
He now takes on Learner Tien. The 20-year-old extended his winning run to six matches and also won his first ever match at the French Open as he beat Cristian Garin in four sets. Other than the second set, Tien completely dominated his Chilean opponent as he won 6-0 2-6 6-0 6-2. Tien won his first ever tour-level event on clay at the Geneva Open last week.
Tien is continuing to develop his game on the surface, and his quality return game will always provide him with opportunities. He will start as the firm favourite to make it through to the next round.
