Fabian Marozsan vs Tomas Machac prediction
Fabian Marozsan came from a set down to defeat Miomir Kecmanovic and get his first grass court win of the season. The Hungarian lost a close first set but regrouped to win 6-7 6-4 6-4 after two hours and 11 minutes and record just his second ever win on the surface in his career.
He goes up against Tomas Machac in the next stage of the tournament. Machac overcame a wobble in the second set to defeat Dutch lucky loser Jesper de Jong 7-5 3-6 6-3. The Czech was competing in his first singles match since retiring in the first-round of the French Open a few weeks ago and seemed to be moving well.
They’ve never competed against each other on grass but they have played once before. It took place last year in the first-round of the Vienna Open, with Machac defeating Marozsan 7-6 6-1. Though the Hungarian did well to win in the previous round, he has little pedigree on grass and Machac will be the heavy favourite to win.
