Fabian Marozsan vs Taylor Fritz prediction

Fabian Marozsan defeated Miomir Kecmanovic in the first-round of the Halle Open. These two had played each other at this stage of the tournament last year, with Marozsan prevailing in three sets, and the Hungarian repeated the feat when they faced off again here. He was pegged back in the second but went on to win 6-3 3-6 6-4. He created 15 break point opportunities but could only convert two of them. 

Marozsan will now face Taylor Fritz. The American was making his first appearance at the event since 2019, and though he was tested by Zizou Bergs in the opening round, he won the match in three sets. Bergs levelled the encounter after breaking Fritz in the 12th game of the second set, but the 2024 US Open finalist regrouped in the decider to win 7-6 (4) 5-7 6-4.

Fritz leads the head-to-head 2-0 after coming from a set down to win past matches at the Australian Open and Shanghai Masters. He wasn’t entirely convincing in his first match, and he will hope for an improvement in this one.
